Parish Picnic
Our Annual Parish Picnic will be held on July 9th 2011 at Fort Washington State Park from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. Various activities including Sports, Volley ball and Musical chair are included. All members of our church are invited to the State Park on July 9th and make this event a great success. A direction to the park is available in church website, notice board and coming news letter. If anyone need further information can contact Program coordinators Sabu Chacko, Manoj Mathew, Joe Chacko or Mathew Oommen.

Edavaka Mission retreat at Malvern…Updates
Greetings to all in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We are happy to inform you that all arrangements for our retreat is going well by the Grace of God as we planned. Our opening program will start at 6 PM on Friday, August 19th so try to reach at least an hour early to get accommodation and settle down before it get started. Here are some quick updates about the retreat, especially for those who are attending first time. Please keep our retreat in your prayers, so that we all will have a blessed time together.
1) Our theme for this year’s retreat is selected by our vicar, Rev. P.A. Abraham is “Christian Discipleship” based on the verse from St. Luke 9:23.
2) Registration will be started at 4:00 PM and we will have snacks and coffee for those who come before 6 PM. and dinner will be at 8:00 PM.
3) Please try to bring your Bible and Malayalam worship book (Parasyarathana Kramam), if you have one.
4) Detailed program will be given when you arrive there, but like to give some hints for your preparation. We will have sports & games and talent night on Saturday and witnessing session on Sunday after worship.
5) We have lot of walking trails there so don’t forget to bring your sneakers.

FROM PHILADELPHIA AND POINTS EAST, NORTH AND WEST…
Follow the PA Turnpike to Valley Forge Exit, or the Schuylkill Expressway to the Route 202 South Exit. Proceed south on Route 202 to the Paoli Exit – Route 252. Proceed on 252 South to Route 30 West. Go West (right) onto Route 30 for 4 stoplights to Paoli Pike (Matthews Ford). Bear left onto Paoli Pike and proceed for 3 stoplights. (Malvern Retreat signs will direct you.) Turn right at the 3rd stoplight. This is Warren Avenue. Look for McShain-Horstmann Family Life Center, which is the 2nd entrance on Warren Avenue, take a right to enter the Family Life Center. At the Good Shepherd statue bears right. The Family Life Center is on the right-hand side (before reaching Our Lady’s parking lot). You will see a banner with our church’s name at the entrance from Warren Avenue.
Note: If you plan to enter Turnpike via Virginia Drive in Willow Grove, remember that entrance is only for E-Z pass holders, there is no ticket booth available.
FROM WILMINGTON, SOUTH JERSEY, AND POINTS SOUTH follow Route 202 North and proceed to the Paoli Pike East Exit. Follow Paoli Pike until you come to the sign: Malvern Prep. This is Warren Avenue. Turn left onto Warren Avenue; Look for McShain-Horstmann Family Life Center, which is the 2nd entrance on Warren Avenue, take a right to enter the Family Life Center.
FROM COATESVILLE AND POINTS WEST takes Route 30, past Route 29 and proceed 1/4 mile to stoplight. Turn right on Old Lincoln Highway Road; go to third road on right – Bridge Street. Turn right on Bridge Street, go to stop sign, turn right onto King Street. At first light, turn left onto Warren Avenue. Go three blocks to St. Joseph’s in the Hills sign on left. After that look for McShain-Horstmann Family Life Center take a left to enter the Family Life Center.
7) Internet connections are available for those who needed to use.
